I'm getting itchy feet. I must have some traveling to do soon.
Here are some of my favorite songs about Mexico. There is something about down South that feeds my head, not sure what it is but it has kept me coming back since I was a kid.
This is the original...
I first heard this one when I was 7 or 8 and dug it.

I'm gonna hafta copy your blog layout & put a youtube strip at the top. thanks, humorous musings of a broken man. P.s. Don't forget Mexicali Blues by the Dead.
I would add James Taylor's mexico and Johnny cash's cocaine blues. I'm ready to head down south(with ribbons in my hair and bells on my toes)
Why thank you Modern Needs. "Laid back in an old saloon with a peso in my hand, watching flies and children in the street and I catch a glimpse of black eyed girls who giggle when I smile theres a little boy who wants to shine my feet..."
Awesome song
Thank you Damaged ("watching flies & children in the street"). never knew that lyric. nor did I know "this town's full of money-grabbers" from Shattered by the stones. "this town's full of money-grabbers, go ahead, bite the big apple. Don't bite the maggots" (Thank Don Leo for that one. Or thank Mick, I guess. Or both. Growth. On my toe).
Shayubee!... uh huh
Don't "mind" the maggots. "bite" the maggots would be redundant as you are already biting the big apple.
*sniffle* I appreciated that Stones lyric correction ("mind") on at least three different levels *sniffle* Now I know How Nick felt when he used to say "C'mon, John, you know how I feel about that shit..." or Long Duck Dong when he cried "I'm so happy". thanks.
Q. Right now I feel more shame about:
A.Being compared to Nick
B."Blogging"
C.Correcting someone on a
blog
D.Knowing who Long Duck Dong
is
E.All of the above
Don't beat yourself up too much unless you know specifically which Long Duck Dong clip I was referring to. The only thing that haunts me about Nick is his Claude Bessy laugh.
